Terms and Conditions

Please read the terms and conditions carefully before using this website. Your use of this website confirms your unconditional acceptance of the following terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, do not use this website.

Sales Tax

California Hat Company charges a sales tax of 9% for orders shipping to California. Sales tax for all other states will be charged accordingly.

Return Policy

California Hat Company is dedicated to quality products and excellent customer service. We are committed to the customer’s satisfaction and we understand how difficult it might be to find the right fit for your hat(s). We have a size chart and size guide readily available, under each item, so that the customer can be sure of the size(s) they chose. Please feel free to return any unwanted item(s) within the 14-day delivery period.

All returns are to be received within 30 days of purchase date: 

Merchandise must be in relatively new condition, unwashed, original tags attached, and in the original box it came in

  • Original shipping charges are not refundable.
  • If the item is not shipped back in the original box there will be a  $20 charge.
  • If an item is returned to us and it does not meet the requirements listed above we will NOT issue a refund or give a partial refund.
  • We are happy to provide a prepaid label for a small fee of $12. You are welcome to buy your own return label.
  • We do not do exchanges. If you want you can return the unwanted item and then place a new order

For Damaged, Incorrect, or Gifted Items:

If you have received a damaged item (piece missing, part broken) or an incorrect item (wrong item delivered), please email us at support@californiahatcompany.com. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

Additional Instructions:

For those unsure of how to return the item(s):

  • Pack the item securely in the original package along with the return form given to you
  • Tape the box at your own discretion, however, it should be sturdy enough that it does not open in transit. 
  • Place the return shipping label on the outside of the box. (DO NOT tape over the shipping label, it should be completely visible)

For items on “SALE” they will not be eligible for return

Payment

We Accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Paypal. Before shipping, our Credit Department will re-verify all orders and payments. No International Credit Cards will be accepted. All billing information and shipping address (if different from billing address) is subject to verification for safety and security purposes. Please note that there may be delays associated with verifying billing and shipping address information which may hold your order until resolved.

Pricing and Product Availability Disclaimer

All prices quoted are exclusive of taxes and product availability is subject to change without notice. Specials/promotions may be limited to stock on hand. We are not responsible for any typographical errors on pricing and product availability information. California Hat Company reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

Product Descriptions

California Hat Company attempts to be as accurate as possible in product descriptions of the products for sale; however, we cannot guarantee that product descriptions/specifications or any other content on California Hat Company are subject to change at any time without notice.

Color Swatches are made to be as closely related to the actual hat color, however, all computer screens will vary so we cannot guarantee that your computer will accurately display such colors.

Order Procedure / Cancellation Policy

California Hat Company reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity of any item you ordered. If there is anything wrong with the merchandise, please contact customer service for more information. We do not guarantee all orders will be shipped according to our usual process due to back orders, out of stock, credit card verification delay, or if the order was received on Friday after 4:30 pm (orders received on the weekend will not be processed until the following Monday).

California Hat Company will only accept all change/cancel order requests by email at support@californiahatcompany.com. Also, all processes must be done before the order has been shipped out.

Shipping Policy

Orders will usually be shipped within 24-48 business hours after the order has been placed unless placed over the weekend. We ship to all 50 states including Puerto Rico, APO/FPO, and USVI. APO/FPO address order will be shipped via US Postal Service. California Hat Company will not refund shipping charges for refused shipments.

Physical Damage or Loss

Once you receive your order you are liable for loss or physical damage. You as the buyer are liable for inspection of the products upon delivery. California Hat Company will assure you that products will not go out if they are even slightly imperfect.

If in fact, we sent out an unsatisfactory product, you will be responsible for contacting California Hat Company regarding the claim of any products damaged, tampered, and/or loss in transit. If you receive an order which you find to be physically damaged upon delivery, please contact us within 24-48 hours of delivery (If the delivery was on Friday we will give some leeway) for further assistance. Replacements will be sent within 48 hours of review.

Use of This Website

All photos and videos displayed are the property of or used with permission by, California Hat Company. You cannot modify, reproduce, publicly display, or distribute any of the photos and videos on this website. Any and all unauthorized use of such photos and videos will be legally dealt with accordingly.

YOU are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password. Restricting access to such information is crucial to the safety of YOUR information.

You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. We assume no responsibility, and shall not be liable for, any damages to, or viruses that may infect, your computer, telecommunication equipment, or other property caused by or arising from your access to, use of, or browsing this website or your downloading of any materials, from this web site.
